Silent Hills | Random Access Memories #9

This week, I cover quite possibly the largest gaming controversy in years: Silent Hills, and everything surrounding it. From its origins as an Avengers-esque meeting of the greatest minds in horror like Guillermo del Toro and Junji Ito... to its unfortunate conclusion as vaporware. The myth surrounding this game is absolutely staggering; and the story is incredibly tragic. However, just because the game itself has been lost to the ages, that doesn't mean its legacy went with it -- join writer and host Wade Ronspies as he tells the story of Silent Hills, and how echoes of the project still permeate the industry to this day.
